StuBru's Hooray100
Hooray100 is a hip hop chart by Belgium's biggest radiostation - StuBru. It's Belgium’s first ever official hip hop chart, and Studio Brussel asked us (Studio Dada) to come up with a visual identity that could easily be translated to a poster campaign, on-site assets and motion graphics.
Handling all art direction and graphic design for the project, a very important part of the brief was to incorporate StuBru's branding, by using only their colors and typography without having anything in all caps etc but still having my distinct look & feel.
I came up with a visual frame made up of fictional ducttape to fit the gritty aesthetic of hiphop, and put ripped posters using classic quotes and practical info on top. We shot images that were very distinctly hiphop in their vibe, without portraying any specific objects or people to use as backgrounds in the templates. The graphic assets were then used in motion graphics aswell. The campaign was seen non-stop in the streets as well as online.
