Piano Piano
For over thirty years, Piano Piano has been serving pizza and pasta in the charming coastal town of De Haan, Belgium. In 2026, as the 'local institute' passed the oven to the next generation of the family, the new owners sought a visual identity that honored their 30-year legacy while embracing a fresh chapter. The goal? A brand as fun, tasteful and straight forward as the kitchen itself.
In Italian, 'Piano Piano' translates to "slow down" or "take it easy", a philosophy that perfectly captures the soul of a long, relaxed family dinner. This rhythm is mirrored in the design language. The custom logo features letters that feel hand-cut from dough, arranged in a playful composition inspired by the improvisational spirit of jazz.
To balance heritage with modernity, the identity uses a focused two-color palette: a deep, classic shade to reflect the restaurant's history, paired with a soft pink that symbolizes its new era. The result is a distinct visual language that feels rooted and reliable, yet undeniably vibrant. It honors Piano Piano's reputation while creating a dynamic energy that speaks to the next generation.
